Stay Dry! Mississippi Coalition of Partners in Prevention

Stay Dry! is a campaign that is comprised of three Institutions of Higher Education - Mississippi State University (MSU), Mississippi University for Women (MUW), and the University of Mississippi (UM) and two public alcohol prevention agencies - Mississippians Advocating Against Underage Drinking (MAAUD) and Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD). These entities support two objectives:

1. To demonstrate a reduction in 30-day alcohol use among under-age students.

2. To demonstrate a reduction in 30-day binge drinking among under-age students.

Each year additional institutions of higher education and alcohol prevention agencies in Mississippi will join the campaign and further objectives will be included. This coalition will provide effective evidence based strategies and best practices within a coordinated approach to focus on the issues and causes of underage drinking. The support, guidance and strength of a state coalition provide a concerted effort to address problems and solutions to the issue of underage drinking.
